Basic Process Controls Hard-Wired Relays These controls feature hard-wired push-buttons, relays, interlocks, timers and load meters. They can be installed in the door of theDupps-built Motor Control Center or their own Push-Button Console. The operator makes all adjustments to control throughput and product quality.Basic PID LoopsYou can add this standard four-loop control system to the system above. It has individual PID controllers to monitor and control cooker temperature, raw material feed rate, cooker level, vapor pressure, cooked material discharge rate, and steam flow. The first loop compares a weighted average of temperatures in the cooker's discharge end and middle with the set point or desired discharge temperature. It varies the speed of the feed to the cooker for precise temperature control.Loop two controls steam flow to the cooker based on actual and set point temperature. The third loop uses the material level in the cooker to control the discharge rate.Loop four monitors vapor pressure in

the cooker and adjusts the non-condensable fan's speed to maintain the desired pressure.
